No Social - One Tap Blocker Privacy Policy

Summary

No Social is designed to work primarily on the user's device. The extension blocks access to selected domains, runs focus lock sessions, and stores settings and usage metrics locally in Chrome storage.

What Data Is Stored (Locally on Device)

• Blocked site/domain list
• Lock duration and redirect URL settings
• Interface language preference
• Password hash (hashed version of the password, not plain text)
• Focus stats (points, active minutes, completed sessions)
• Trigger analytics (blocked access attempts, trigger choices, timestamps)
• Mood check-in records after sessions
• Temporary bypass windows (short emergency access timing)
• UI helper flags (for example, onboarding seen)

What Is Not Collected by Default

• No account signup is required
• No browsing history is uploaded to a remote server by default
• No personal content from websites is read or stored
• No keystroke logging
• No analytics SDK or third-party telemetry is included by default

Network Requests the Extension May Make

The extension may request external resources for user-facing features:

• Unsplash pages/images for background wallpapers
• Favicon providers (such as Google S2 and fallback icon sources) to display site icons

These requests are used to render visuals and icons. They are not intended to create a user identity profile.

Optional / Future Features

If a future version adds cloud sync, leaderboards, or shared profiles, the UI will clearly explain what is synced and request explicit opt-in consent.

Export / Import / Reset

The extension may provide tools to:

• Export local settings and analytics as JSON
• Import a previous backup JSON file
• Reset selected data groups (stats / analytics / all)

Security Notes

• Passwords are stored as hashes (not plain text) in the extension storage flow
• Blocking logic runs client-side in the extension background service worker
• Removing the extension from Chrome generally removes extension-local data, unless preserved by profile sync or external backup mechanisms
